Weekend Cards

A couple of cards made over the weekend. The scalloped circle one is an idea from Sue Nelson of Heartprints. A bit fiddly and the card was a little too thick, so I had to pass it through the Cuttlebug a few times before it finally cut the card. Got there in the end but won't be making many more of this style of card, takes too long!
The Tilda and cat was much easier!

Unusual Wedding Card

A friend asked me to make this card for her son's wedding tomorrow (28th June). The theme is black and white but the groom is wearing a blue jacket, so I chalked the jacket and pants and the bride's dress is decoupaged to give a 3D effect. I coloured the roses on the dress in black with Prisma pencils and added glitter and liquid pearls on the buttons and necklace. The sentiment was printed on PC and I used Nestabilities to make the circles, added rings peel off and added a bit of glitter. The sentiment inside reads: 'May all the love and happiness you two have found together, like the circle of a wedding band, go on and on ... forever. Wishing you happiness today and always.

Tilda with Baking Tray

The inspiration for this card came from the very talented Sue Nelson of Heartprints. Stamped and coloured with Prisma pencils and Sansador, hearts are doodled with gel pens, added stickles glitter glue and stamped happy birthday message.

Todays Cards

This card I made for my daughter Katie's birthday tomorrow. It reminds me of when she was a little girl, she loved dressing up. I have a photo of her somewhere and she looks exactly like this, but I cannot put my hands on it! I was going to scan the photo and put it inside the card. Hope she likes it.

TUESDAY CRAFT CLUB CARD

Pocket card made at Craft Club last night. These pocket cards are so simple to make, once you know how! The stamp is Dress Up Tilda, coloured with Prisma and Sansador. So cute and girly! With thanks as always to Andrea for her wonderful inspiration!

Iv'e been tagged by Vicky

I have been tagged by Vicky so here goes!

WHAT WAS HAPPENING 10 YEARS AGO

Gosh, I can't even think back to 10 days ago! 1998 I was working full time as a secretary to the Chief Pharmacist at the local hospital. My dear mum and dad would have been with us at that time, sadly they are both passed away now and I miss them so much. We had 2 granddaughters born in 1998, so I would have been eagerly awaiting their arrival and no doubt doing lots of babysitting!

NAME 5 THINGS TO DO TODAY

Well Sunday is always my 'bottoming day' - I clean the house from top to bottom! It's one of my busiest days of the week as I always have some of my family here for Sunday lunch. It's also the day I catch up on washing and ironing. I was hoping to get some gardening done today also but its been so windy and we had a heavy downpour mid afternoon, it's supposed to be summer!

Cleaning out my parrots cage is another Sunday job, she is cleaned every day, but on a Sunday her cage gets 'bottomed'!

SNACKS I ENJOY

Chocolate (Cadbury's Turkish Delight, yuum!!), Jelly Beans (original ones only though!). Jammy doughnuts, Jammy Dodgers, bananas and mango.

THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WAS A MILLIONAIRE

Buy a big house in the middle of the countryside. Go on a world cruise. Go and see my sister in Australia. Buy myself and hubby a flash car each. Buy my family whatever they wanted.
Have laser treatment on my eyes so I don't have to grab my specs every five minutes!

PLACES I HAVE LIVED

Born in Manchester. Lived in Aldershot when married hubby as he was in Paras. He was then posted to Brecon, South Wales, so we lived there for a couple of years. Moved back to Manchester for a while, then moved to Macclesfield in Cheshire.

Now who can I tag with this, I think Donna, Viv and Pam hope you don't mind girls!!

Today's Cards

Made these cards using Cuttlebug and Nestabilities. Words done on PC. A bit fiddly getting the circle the right size, I used Wordart Circular text and mde the circle 3" and then cut using a scalloped and plain circle Nestie. Tilda and Sugar Nellie coloured with Prisma pencils and Sansador.

Tuesday Craft Club Cards

Made these cards this week. How cute is the Sugar Nellie Pirate? I am going to save this one for my grandsons birthday in November. Coloured using Prisma pencils and Sansador. The palm tree and sun are High Hopes stamps.
The Best Wishes card is quick and easy but very effective. Again coloured in using Prisma pencils and Sansador. Thanks again to Andrea for her hard work and inspiration!

Today's Cards

Just 3 cards made today, the Pink Anniversary is for my daughter and son-in-laws 10th anniversary tomorrow (Friday 13th!!).
The stamped verse one is very simple, I just loved this stamp as soon as I saw it!
The birdy one was great fun to do, its just thumbprints in paint and then doodled beaks, wings and legs. The clouds I just cut out and doodled.

Tuesday Craft Club Cards

Cards made at this weeks craft club. Sugar Nellie was stamped and coloured and then cut out and pasted onto Pink Bazill card and K&Co Quilted striped paper.
The boy card is again a Sugar Nellie stamped and coloured and then layered onto Bazill Bling blue and orange card with K&Co blue striped paper.
Once again, thanks to Andrea for her brilliant inspiration.

Todays Cards

These two are very different to my usual style of card. I have used Penny Black Stickeroos which are stuck onto small folded pieces of card and then matted onto white card which I have doodled hearts and words. Prisma coloured the hearts. The bows are made from floss thread.

These 3 cards I stamped and coloured with Prisma pencils and Sansador. The embossing has been done on my Cuttlebug.

Tuesday Craft Club Creations

Paperfolded Book
This looks complicated
but it's easy once you know how!
Again made using K&Co Wedding Paper Collection. Flowers and words were cut on Cricut machine, photos would be nice in this little book.

This cute handbag is made from K&Co Wedding Paper collection. Very quick and simple, would be ideal for a little gift (diamond earrings or perhaps a bling ring!).

Thanks to Andrea, I think she has excelled herself with these 2 fab creations!

Today's Cards

Made a few cards today, the frog ones are Penny Black Stickeroos 'Pondside-Celebration' These frogs are so cute and much easier than stamping and colouring! I have coloured the dots using Sakura Souffle pens.

The dog ones are stamped and coloured with Prisma pencils and Sansador.
